We cut to a sensible height, tidy the edges, and treat the lawn as a living surface rather than something to be shaved as short as possible. That means fewer bald spots in July and less thatch in autumn.
One-off cuts are fine if you are selling a house or catching up after a wet month. Regular mowing is cheaper in the long run and looks better, because the grass is never left to bolt.
Where the lawn has gone thin we can overseed, spike and feed. We will tell you honestly if a section needs returfing rather than another bag of seed.
