Heswall
Heswall plots are often larger, older and more planted than the rest of the peninsula. They take time, and they show if that time is skipped.
Hoylake
Hoylake is exposed. Lawns scorch, fences take a beating, and anything delicate in a front garden has a short life unless it was chosen properly.
Birkenhead
Birkenhead gardens are often smaller and harder-working: a rear yard, a hedge on the alley, a front strip that has to look respectable from the pavement.
Wallasey
Wallasey runs from the promenade at New Brighton to the tighter streets around Liscard. The gardens change with that, and so does the work.
Bebington
Bebington, Port Sunlight and Bromborough are suburban in the useful sense: proper lawns, hedges on the boundary, and gardens that respond well to a regular visit.
